The youngest Marches DOC, recognised in 1995, it is produced in the area from which it takes its name, from at least 50% fruit from Verdicchio vines, with the remainder from white grapes but always coming from the Esino valley.

It is a light wine, particularly pleasant within its first year of life, and should be tasted mainly with fish dishes, and mixed seafood in particular, but it doesn't shy away from white meat if the flavour is not too strong, or cheeses provided they are not too well-seasoned.
