A fascinating walk between sea and hill, through an uncontaminated corner of nature
le Due Sorelle

The walk starts from the cemetery at Sirolo. Set off from there on foot, until you get to a crossroads: take the right-hand turning, which leads downhill. After passing a cottage, go down path number 2, which leads to Le Due Sorelle (the Two Sisters). As you continue, you cross an enchanting olive grove and you enter a patch of scrubby woodland: take care here, as parts of the path can be treacherous.

The view over the hillside to the south is only visible at intervals, then suddenly, after about half an hour, it opens out like magic, to form a 360 degree panorama of the horizon: this is the "Passo del Lupo" or Wolf's Pass, also known as the Passo della Croce, the Pass of the Cross, because the stone quarry workers used to make the sign of the cross here before continuing towards the beach. From here, path no. 2 descends very steeply towards the beach of the Two Sisters along a stretch of path provided with a steel rope, down narrow hairpin bends and across a scree.

The beach with its two impressive stacks is the ideal place for swimming and diving in the crystal clear sea below Monte Conero.
