The Service for the Marginalized and Welcoming Centre is a reference point for people who are no longer able to autonomously manage their own needs (eat, sleep, and dress) and are in serious states of poverty:
• Italian and foreign citizens (adults and families) who are resident in Ancona without fixed address (homeless, vagabonds, nomadic people, etc.);
• Immigrants with the residence permit;
• Political refugee, refugees and exiles.
The services offered are the following:
• Cafeteria/ Canteen
• Welcoming centre for single women or with children (at Opera P. Guido)
• Overnight stay in the hotels in the city indicated by the Municipality
The service is immediate and temporary, that is, it is granted strictly and for the time needed for the acquisition of minimum autonomy or for the return to the place of origin.
Ways of getting the service
The request must be written (no official stamps are necessary), and presented directly to Servizio Sociale Emarginazione e Pronto Intervento (Service for the Marginalized and Welcoming Centre) - Viale della Vittoria no.39.
Requirements
Italians, EU residents and non-resident foreigners in the Municipal territory in states of serious poverty without incomes or with incomes inferior to the vital minimum.
Costs
The service is free of charge as it is for people without income or with income below the vital minimum.

- Foreigners must additionally present their residence permit
