The new system, developed by the Ministry of the Interior in collaboration with the National Association of Italian Municipalities, Poste Italiane S.p.A. and the Patronati (Charitable Institutions), has the aim of simplifying and improving the process of the residence permit renewal and the residence paper release.

The service is carried out in the Centre for Immigration Services by appointment at the following times:

- Monday    from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm 
- Thursday   from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm 
- Saturday    from 9:00 am to 10:30 am 

Requirements:  
- residence in the Municipality of Ancona;
- presentation of suitable documentation to start the matter.

The service is for Italians, non-EU and  EU immigrants. The professional services are free of charge.

The procedures for the release of the residence paper and the residence permit can also be carried out through the Patronati.

Other information networks about the new procedure are:

  -   The Portale Immigrazione (Immigration portal) which can be consulted in the "approfondimenti" (widening) section gives all the information about procedures of release and renewal of residence permits.  Additionally, it allows the applicants to check on the progress of  their documentation.

-     The Call Centre , through the free phone service on 800.309.309 , gives general information in collaboration with the ANCI, it is available in five languages (Arabic, English, French, Italian, Spanish).

-    Ancona Post Offices enabled with a Sportello Amico for the presentation of the KIT, containing the necessary forms. In the "Allegati" (Enclosed) section, a list of the offices is available.

-  At the Centre for Immigration Services , it is possible to preview the list of applicants waiting for delivery of their residence permits and papers.
